Welcome to Disabled Sportsmen of Alabama, Inc. official website. Disabled Sportsmen of Alabama, Inc. (DSOA) is a501-c-3 not for profit organization founded in 1995 by Mickey Roy and Johnny Ramsey. We are a small organization independent and unaffiliated with other disabled programs provided as side shows to larger organizations. Our independence allows us to organize and host by and for disabled participants with greater flexibility, control and variety. Our desire is to host events that are stress free, enjoyable fulfilling experiences. We know first hand how difficult it can be to participate as a disabled person. We make every effort to provide opportunities that are barrier free and user friendly. Through our growing network of supporters and sponsors, we assist individuals with mobility impairments in locating and attending a wide variety of outdoor sporting activities including fishing, hunting, sports shooting in our own state and throughout the Southeast. If you are one of thousands of Alabama residents that enjoy the outdoors but who’s participation has been limited due to severe lack of mobility, DSOA wants to help.
